Michael Bowman Jr.
Partner
Born in Maine and now residing in Greenville, South Carolina, Michael Bowman has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for serving others from an early age. A 2008 graduate of Bob Jones University, his career has included experience in landscaping and hardscape sales, as well as roles with BMW and Michelin. Michael later built and led businesses across multiple industries and became a nationally recognized leader in the insurance industry, developing teams and organizations that serve individuals and families across the country.
Today, Michael is a partner at GreenShield Restoration, where he brings his experience in leadership, business development, and customer service to the restoration industry. He believes restoration is about more than repairing property. It is about helping people through unexpected and often stressful situations with integrity, urgency, clear communication, and genuine care. His focus is helping GreenShield build a strong team, lasting community relationships, and a reputation for service people can trust.
Outside of business, Michael enjoys golf, weightlifting, and basketball, but the greatest priorities in his life are the people he loves. He is a devoted father of four and deeply values being present and involved in their lives and development. He also shares his life with his fiancée, Shea, whom he considers his best friend and the love of his life. His love for Shea and his family continues to shape the man, father, and leader he strives to be each day.
Michael Bowman Sr.
Partner
Born in New Hampshire and now residing in Greenville, South Carolina, Michael Bowman Sr. developed a strong work ethic and desire for excellence from an early age. While still in high school, he began a career in the leather and footwear industry that would ultimately span 45 years. During his career, Michael held positions of increasing responsibility with companies including Sebago and Cole Haan, where he managed millions of dollars in merchandise and became known for his attention to detail, ability to identify inefficiencies, and practical approach to solving complex problems.
Today, Michael brings decades of operational and financial experience to GreenShield Restoration. His ability to analyze processes, identify discrepancies, and create systems that produce measurable results provides valuable oversight as GreenShield continues to grow. He also manages the financial department at Your Benefit Solutions, where he oversees financial transactions and commission processes to help ensure accuracy, accountability, and timely payments.
Outside of business, Michael enjoys golf, weightlifting, and landscaping. His faith and commitment to serving others are important parts of his life, and he remains actively involved in his local church. He also finds great fulfillment in mentoring men through a local ministry that serves individuals struggling with drug addiction. Whether in business, ministry, or his personal life, Michael strives to leave things better than he found them and to invest his experience in the people around him.
Amanda Skinner
Office Manager
Amanda brings a diverse background in customer service, marketing, event management, and project management, with years of experience coordinating complex projects, collaborating across teams, and creating positive experiences for customers and colleagues alike. She is highly organized, detail-oriented, and known for her ability to bring structure and calm to busy or challenging situations. At the heart of her work is a genuine love for people. She enjoys listening, solving problems, building relationships, and helping others feel supported and cared for.
Amanda believes that great customer service is about more than simply answering a question or solving a problem; it’s about making people feel heard and valued, especially when they may already be navigating a stressful situation. She brings warmth, empathy, creativity, and a strong sense of ownership to her work and is always looking for ways to make an experience a little easier for the people around her. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and son, growing in her faith, staying active, and pursuing creative projects.
Ian Christensen
Restoration Tech
Ian Christensen is a native of Wisconsin, though he spent most of his growing up years with his family in the country of Haiti. He now lives in Greenville, South Carolina with his magnificent wife, Sarah. Ian has worked in a variety of areas in his life, including lawn care, painting, sales, marketing, teaching, audio/visual and more. He also speaks Haitian Creole and French.
GreenShield’s commitment to quality and integrity is one that Ian shares both in his personal life and on the job. Customers know him as a personable, thorough, and excellent worker. Ian and his wife are passionate about living their lives with intention, and being a light of inspiration and love into the lives of those around them.
